Additional Need to Know Information and Portrait Tips:

Consultation:

The first step once you have made your appointment is having a consultation. This is necessary so that the services you desire, the look you want to have captured in your photos, and have the opportunity to tell your story, your way are all fully communicated and understood by your photographer. It's important to MW Photography that you are fully satisfied with your photography experience.

Scheduling:

Please make every effort to keep your scheduled appointments. In the event that you are unable to do so, please give at least 24-hours' notice for cancellations. If completing an appointment due to weather or other circumstances is not possible, you will be notified as soon as possible. When preparing for an appointment with children, please try to pick a time when they will be well-rested, fed, and happy. Bring items of comfort that will help them get through the appointment with ease.

Payment:

Payment is due at the time you book your session. These session fees are non-refundable however, I will attempt to accommodate rescheduling your session should the occasion arise. The following forms of payment are accepted: cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Venmo. Please note that a $25.00 surcharge will apply to returned checks for insufficient funds.

Clothing Tips:

Here are a few suggestions when you are preparing for your appointment:
1) Wear solid colors in the same color tones that compliment your skin tone.
2) Avoid patterns and reserve details for jewelry, scarves, and other small accessories.
3) Avoid clothing that have extremely short or no sleeves as they tend to draw the focus off of your face and to those areas that may be distracting in your photos.
4) Remember to dress head to toe. Some photos may be full body shots so every part of your outfit should be considered.
5) Be consistent in style. If you want a formal picture, have everyone dress-up and vice versa if you want something more casual.
6) If you wear glasses and you have an on-location, outdoor session; be aware if the glasses darken. It may be better to wear contacts or a pair of glasses that don't change when going outside.
